I picked up Netgear's WRN1000 for about 40 dollars at the Staples I work at a few days ago mainly because I got tired of having my USB access point die on me every few hours (and it not working at 54mbps either, only 24mbps), disabled the DHCP on it since it runs through a wired router and basically use it as a dedicated access point.

One annoyance I've had with it is that it won't go any faster than 65mbps because of "Neighbor Friendly Mode".

Does anyone know how to enable Performance Mode on it? I haven't found anything in the config pages saying how to force it.

The 11n spec is required to have that feature so it will not interfere with other networks in the area. If active it may not be of much use if neighboring networks will interfere with it. This is one reason users are moving to dual band for the 5ghz is not near as crowded.

Ah, figures its something I can't disable easily, if at all.

I can deal with the 65mbps for now, I don't need the 150 speed at the moment, thanks though.
