    Hey all...

I know this might not be the easiest question to answer but I'm going to give it a shot anyway...

I have an Asus WL-500W wireless router which I use for my Lenovo T61. I haven't made any configurations to my router besides encryption.

The router is located about 1 meter away from my notebook but I have a hard time picking up a signal from it. When I do a search for available networks on my notebook several appears but not any from my router. If I then wait 1-5 minutes it will appear and I can usually connect without problems. Even if I save the profile and everything it still takes some time before connecting if I've swithed between ethernet and wireless.

I have no problem in connecting when I'm using the wireless connection and I've turned off the notebook and turned in back on, then it connects fine.

It's the same thing if I want to connect to the router with my Nokia E71.

Does anyone have any solutions to this problem ?

Are all three antennas attached to the back of the router?

It's possible that your router is using the same channel as many of the other ones you can see, and that can cause all kinds of contention. Try changing the channel in your configuration to another one. I recommend trying channel 2 or 8, as those are fairly far away from the default channels all manufacturers I know of set their routers to.
