    Hi,

I'm looking to buy a full height Intel 5300 WiFi card. I've been searching on eBay and I've noticed that the full height ones are almost double the price of most half height versions. I've also seen that you can buy cheap metal adaptors that turn a half height card to full height. I was wondering, aside from the obvious length difference are there any other differences between the two form factors?

My antenna leads may not reach the connectors on a half height card so the option of using an adaptor may not be available to me, but it would be interesting to note any differences none-the-less.

    Thanks in advance :)

There are none apart from the size- you could use a half-height in a full sized slot with no problems- apart from possibly the one with securing the card with a screw on top (there's no hole in the middle of full size slot to secure the half height).

downloads is correct, there is no difference in the actual connector.

Just use the cheap metal bracket. I got mine for 5usd, shipped.
