When did this start happening? Has this always been a problem? What operating system are you using? What router? What driver version? What firmware version on the router? Do other computers in your household have the same problem?

So you can connect to your network but can not surf any where?

Or is performance is just bad?

Are you using MZC or mfg utility?

How are far are your from the AP (router)?

Are you using b, g or draft 11n?

oh, and it some times wont see the router, other times it just will not have internet, but will connect to the router.

*edit* seems that when my net isnt working, if i turn my lappy on, then go online with that, the desktop internet then works.... hmmm...

This indicates that the MAC address needs to be cloned into the router. Generally the PC used to setup the account.

Desktop and NB use different Wireless, so distance is important. Particularly if the wireless on the desktop is trying to shoot through the metal case... Metal cases just kill a signal.
