Just did a reinstall because of trojan and now the wireless card not working? I can get online if I use the LAN connection but I still get a question mark in the devise manager saying network controller..but I was able to install the right network controller. Every driver for the wireless card I tried to install and still nothing. Can some one help?

Where did you get the driver from?

When you go to Dell Downloads, type in your service tag and it will reveal only the network adapter you have in your machine.

If you just type in your model number it will give you ever wireless adapter ever installed in that model. Since Dell installs whatever wireless adapter they have on the shelf the day you order, there can be several network adapters and you are probably installing the wrong one.

Not sure that when you supply the service tag you get only the features included in that tags specific computer. My experience has been that using the service tag gives the same info as if you just put in the model number.

Your probably correct. However, I know for an Inspiron 5100 when I input a service tag I got several drivers for each feature. I then had to go back to the details of my computer to get the correct driver. The good news is that if you select an incorrect driver, it will not load.
