    Dell i1100 with 2200 card??

    Ok, so a friend of mine wants to be able to use her computer wirelessly. Can she just buy the Intel 2200 card (specifically here: http://www.nextwarehouse.com/prod.cfm/118854/WM3B2200BGMWWB2 )

    She would like something that doesn't stick out of the computer, but I don't know if there is anything else that would be needed other than that card. Thanks for any help!!

    I don't see that as being a problem, as long as the slot that she has is not already used. I googled it to make sure it had a slot. It should work. Here is a link of the site that told me it is user upgradable.

    If it didn't come with the card, then the wireless antenna may not be present. That will reduce your range quite a bit. You may be better off with a PCMCIA card.
