OK so I bought a refurbished L502X about a month ago. It came with the Avermedia TV tuner card installed. However, it did not come with the Dell external antenna in the box. I have only realised this today since today was the first time I bothered to try to use the TV tuner. I don't know how much use going back to the seller would do me since it was a refurbished model bought a month ago on eBay (eComputers, apparently a registered Dell partner according to their eBay shop).

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells the external TV antenna as an accessory? I have checked the Dell parts website and it is not listed on there. Otherwise, would I be OK just using any generic TV antenna with an MCX output?

Secondly, I was wondering if there is any way that a PS3 could be connected up to a laptop to use it as a display. Obviously since the laptop only has HDMI/DisplayPort output and not input, these are not an option. Is there any way that you could use a USB port as some sort of video/audio input from a PS3? Otherwise I seem to have read in quite a few places that a TV tuner could be used for just such a purpose. Would I be able to use the internal Avermedia TV tuner for this purpose and just how would I got about doing that?

Oh, and if it's of any relevance, I live in the UK and the laptop is a UK model.

    Thanks in advance.

You can use any antenna with a matching connector- doesn't have to come from Dell.

As for your other question- it won't work- as you pointed out there's no input port so that can't be done.
