    Hi,

I've noticed that the Australian version of the Alienware M17x-R2 contains the "Dell Wireless 1520" card as the only option instead of the Intel 6300 Ultimate-N option available in the US.

Is this card any good? Anyone report any problems/disconnections with it?

No problems that I have seen. At least no problems that are endemic to the card. You will get bad versions of any wireless card from time to time.

That particular broadcom chipset is very picky. Go with the Intel 6300.

Intel any day, 6300 preferred, but 5300 will work as well.
The broadcom chipset has proven to be extremely troublesome on the M17x, I wouldn't trust it for a second.

I had the Dell wireless 1505 card in my laptop for a while. Very ... fustrating ... card. They are very picky about the access point chipset.

Is that bad the Dell Wireless 1520? I just bought it with my Alienware M15x.

Should I start crying? I can't cancel my order :)
