I bought the Dell WLAN 1505 Mini PCI N Card ... and it's not working for me.

We are running a WPA2 network here... I start out at 130 or 270 mbps (completely random) and then drop down to 6.5 mbps.

After trying many things, the network techs said it was because it is not compatible with WPA2.

On dell's site, they have 1/30/08 listed as the latest release of the driver ... however, when I download it I only get the 10/27 (xp) driver.

Is there anything that can be done, or should I just consider the card a loss?

11n supports wpa2 AES/personal. Make sure you have the latest drivers, it makes a huge difference. Try the MS update and see if it list a new one.

sounds like you need to actually tell the device that when updating the driver you have the disk.

Personally i would uninstall the driver, run the latest .exe then reboot. see what happens :D

I tried this today for about 4 hours ... tried every possible driver. The newest driver I could get working was the 4.170.25.12 driver from 9/20/07 ... even though Dell says they have a newer driver, this is the newest that I donwnload

I emailed Dell, but they won't do anything unless I pay for support ... BULL ...

Looks like I'm going to be putting the old one back in and buying a USB adapter and selling this one at a loss on ebay.
