Ok a little help please....I have a laptop with DSL and a wireless router.
I got the computer to see the wireless and all is connected and running.
I have a the ethernet cable coming out of one of the ports from back of router pluged into the laptop while its sitting at the desk...
All is well until I unplug the cable from the computer so I can go 'WIRELESS" but then it seems to disconnect from the DSL and wants to Reconnect by dialing or whatever DLS does.......I just hit cancel but
Even though I have the wireless and seems to be working I cannot connect to anything?? Im confused-----Something weird happens when I hard disconnect the DSL cable?
Im missing somthing but cant figure it out yet-----

Was it working before? When you disconnect hard are you reconnecting the cable back into your wireless router.

I got the cable coming out of the DSL modem into the WAN port of the router--then I have a cable coming out of port #1 into the laptop= works perfect.
Take the cable out of the computer and It wont connect up should go wireless---- Im sure its hooked up correctly? -
Is everything turned on, some notebooks require you to turn on the wireless card via a switch on the side. Also are you using WZC or are letting your card manage your wireless connection.Try shutting down all you security software and see if you can connect.Did you setup security on your wireless network? I know this is alot of questions, but I'm just trying to help you find the prob.

everything is ON--I have wireless connection according to the laptop but when I try to surf its like its not connected. I may have to call the DSL company and see what they say----
Something is weird that is wants to try and connect (dial) when I disconnect the hard ethernet cable fromt the computer so I can let the wirless take over--like I said im my eyes ita all connected and working (wirless) but it just doesnt work. -
Try right clicking local area connection and disabling it,or in device manager.
