I use Verizon Online Dsl and had it for 4 years already. Can someone tell me if i need filters on an firm alarm i have in my apartment even though the firm alarm has been broken for the last 10 years already?
Also, can someone suggest me where to buy new filters? I am thinking my filters might be bad. How many filters do you need for one phone? I have 2 phones in my apartment. Can someone suggest a good filter?
Thank you.

Have you checked with Verizon already? They're most likely to know whether you need to filter your "firm alarms" (?? I'm guessing fire alarms), and how many filters you need on other devices.

If its a back to base alarm, just treat it like a regular phone line.
A central splitter might be a better choice. -
They came to my home before to check my phone. They done the line test and says connection is fine except they hear some noise static in my phone. There is static in one of my home phones. Once i turn the modem off however, the static from phone is gone.
How do i know its a base alarm? Its at the top of the ceiling. Its a very old alarm that does not work for so many years already. -
That static is what the filters protect against, nothing more.

I also have a carbon monoxide alarm. Do i need on a filter on this?

No it is not. It just sticks to the wall.
