Connected to a wireless network and had connection all day- vacation location. Later in the day, cannot connect and am getting the 'DNS server not responding' message when attempting to trouble shoot. I'm using another network at the moment. Win 7 Pro

1.Uninstalled my network adapter and rebooted.
2.Tried the incorrect DNS setting solution and changed a. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222b. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

The others on this list do not apply
DNS Server Not Responding on Windows 7

Cannot connect wired to see- vacation location and no other computer to check if it's the computer at fault. Again, had connection earlier without issue.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Uninstalling/reinstalling your adapter pretty much never solves dns issues in my experience. Give namebench a try and see if you can resolve a working dns address. Being on vacation it's possible (likely) that your hotel connection is the one at fault, not your computer.

Likely a problem with the hotel as stated above. I've had more problems with incompetently configured networks at hotels.

It could be as stupid as their redirector service crashing or something. Call the front desk. They may be able to reboot their router or whatever they do for problems.

Just my two cents, but it could be a problem on the DNS end. Try using a different DNS server (Google has DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and see what happens.

hakira and Pitabread you are correct. It's the establishments connection. On again and off again, without a problem now for over a day. Thank you for your responses.
