Okay, I'm on the fence about what to do with my wireless network. Basically, I'm deciding whether or not go for the DIR-655 or the DIR-825. I currently have a DIR-655 that used to work perfectly fine for all my connections but I don't think its cutting it anymore. SO, I'm debating on purchasing the dir-825 for its dual band and gigabit capability (separating the N and G devices), or purchasing the dir-655, while keeping the dir-615 for wireless G devices. My list of connected devices are:

    2 gigabit wired connections
    1 network printer
    2 ipod touchs
    2 wireless G laptops
    1 xbox 360 w/ G
    1 laptop with wireless N

Ergo, 9 devices have been running through my DIR-615. Any suggestions anybody? I'm looking for the best performance, the price difference between the 655 and 825 isn't an issue :).

If you were to separate the N, then you should consider putting it on the 5GHz band. 'Cause it will be a little bit crowded to run both wireless G and wireless N (with 40MHz channel enabled) on same the 2.4GHz band, especially if your neighborhood isn't free of other wireless networks.

I would go 825, Netgear WNDR3700 or the Linksys WRT610N.
Preferably the last two, but expect to swap the power brick on the 3700.

However, you are only going to drop in speed when a G device is connected and for web surfing, and streaming most non-hd movies, even G is plenty fast.
