    Hey guys,

My mom's laptop will not get internet. a ipconfig/all shows that the DHCP is disabled, I think that's the problem, eh? How do I enable it?

    thanks :D

Hmm, thinking about it, this probably ins't the problem as it's a laptop and i'm not using any server connections. I've flushed the DNS, restarted the computer multiple times etc, help?

I'm not sure what OS you're running but check this setting on the Network Card. "Obtain IP Address Automatically...." see print screen...everything in red is something you should check or click.

Edit: DHCP is not specific to Servers/Laptops/Workstations...In basic terms it works by assigning the computer device an IP Address "automatically". Instead of you the user having to "manually" assign the computer a "static" IP Address. In this case your router is the DHCP server. Meaning it's serving the laptop an IP Address automatically.

Resolved: Flushed DNS, deleted cookies and temp folders and reset router.
