    Hi,
Did some one using Qwest DSL internet and added a D-link wireless router on?
What should I configure to make the Dlink work?
I think that everything is easier for cable modem, because I made it work for my friends with Cable internet and Linksys wireless router. But never get it work with Qwest DSL and Dlink router.
Anyway, my modem is ActionTec GT701 and my router is DI-624.
    Thanks in advance.

PS: I've got all the information (user, pass) for my DSL account

Yeah, I've got a modem from Qwest, and the Dlink router from my cousin.

Assuming it is hooked up correctly perhaps a firmware update, upgrading your card's drivers or shutting down your firewall would be good places to start.

On the modem from Qwest, I saw a PPP0A and PPPoE option. When I chose the PPPoA, everything works great, but nothing happen, even the internet LED is solid, for PPPoE.

On the Dlink router, there is only one option for PPPoE.

I'm about to call Qwest about the wireless, but on the site it mentions that (a fee of $29.99 applies for each incident), I don't know what it is.

Might want to try DLink first as they probably won't charge you.

They should have given you what is required to connect to their network. I assume you can connect without a router, using the modem???? Are the settings stored in the quest modem??? Some are small routers with firewalls. If so use the modem and set it to bridge mode. Then connect the Dlink. Your setup should look like this Modem -> Dlink.

I had Qwest for a few months. The modem worked fine with my Netgear router, but when I switched over to cable, I had to upgrade the firmware on the router to make it work.
