Can anybody help. I have a D-Link modem router 2740R capable of running at 300mbps (N), howerver my laptop only shows it connected at 150mbps.

How can I change it to run at 300mbps. Is it that I'm running Windows 7 or is ir the wlan car installed.

Channel has to be set to 40MHz on the router and if you have an Intel Wi-Fi adapter then also in its advanced settings.
