Hello, I'm trying to get a home network set up between my laptop and my computer(s). i want to be able to share files between the laptop and my PC.

My PC is running Windows XP and is hardwired into my Linksys WRT54GL running : DD-WRT v23 SP2 Linux Firmware.

My Laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium and has a Intel Pro Wireless card.

I've tried everything i can think of in the setup home network crap on both laptops. i just want to be able to connect to my Secured (WPA2) home network and have a shared folder on both the laptop and my PC.

I CAN connect my laptop to my router network (although a lot of the times Vista cannot find or connect to it. But that's a separate issue).

So, any help or guides would be extremely useful. Thank you.

Thanks for the replies. The LLTD is something i would have never figured out on my own. the Workgroup thing was not even in my mind. I figured they would have been the same. Surprised they changed the default in vista.

Anyway, thank you. problem solved. i can now view my XP home PC files from my laptop and Vice Versa.

    thank you.
