This is showing up in my Reliability Monitor for some reason. My wireless has been acting funny lately. If I try to trouble shoot the problem it says that the Diagnostic Policy is not running and that's it. I went to Services and tried to start it, but it just stops.

Any ideas? Here is a Capture of the error.

This app is not essential to Wi-Fi working. I've actually stopped it from working altogether. If that's the only problem than it's not a problem ;)
That said- as this app is non-essential is should in no way affect Wi-Fi connection so if your wireless is acting funny there may be something else to it.

Check if you have the latest drivers and make sure there’s not too much interference from other Wi-Fi networks (use inSSIDer for that)

Thanks for the info. What it's been doing is sometimes I will have the red X on my taskbar when I know a WAP is within range, one that I have set up. I try the trouble shooting and that's when I get the Diagnostic Policy problem.

wifi is remarkable in that it works at all.

The 2.4 band is subject to so much interference........ 5.8 is getting to be that way too.

Do a rough inventory of 2.4gz sources within say 100 meters of your layout. Include things like microwave ovens, wireless water & power meters, fast food restaurants, gas stations with digital pumps, cordless phones, and other wifi networks.
