Hey im having some issues with my internet and frankly its annoying the hell out of me. Ive got Windows 7 64 bit. Anyway i disconnect every 1-2 minutes but the disconnection is literaly just for 1 second and im back online. Problem is this disrupts all my downloads, loading of pages and games. I have no idea at all whats happening as al my other housemates stay online perfectly and do not disconnect.

My pc is also brandnew so i dont see how it should give me problems yet.

    Anyone know whats going on?

Take a quick look at your power management settings. Alot of times the power is dropped back or even turned off to save battery. Make sure the power is set to max and not to turn off in both battery/ac modes.

Make sure all of your drivers are up to date. NB and Router.
Preferred security is WPA2 AES Personal......

how do i change the security? the power was already set to max.

oki was checking on another forum and was told to go to even viewer and this is what it said:
The IP address lease 192.168.1.180 for the Network Card with network address 0x00216A8C5DCC has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

Above it i had around 160 error messages of me disconnecting.

Sounds like mac filtering maybe on. You will need to log into the router and check the setup on this. So you will have to use a PC that is wired direct to the router and has admin rights for the router.

Also make sure there is enough IP's available for the DHCP server. Normaly def will handle 50 users, unless this has been changed. Some only set enough for current users, then guest have problems.

Who else has access to the router are you using? It's odd that your home router would be filtering your own mac...
