I have a strange network problem.

When I start up my computer, it connects to my wireless network just fine, and things run normally for variable amounts of time, usually a couple hours.

Then, at some point, my ability to use the internet sort of degrades. First, Firefox will stop being able to load webpages. I will still be connected to the internet, and I will still be able to load webpages in Opera, but not Firefox. Then, after a while longer, Opera will no longer load webpages ("Cannot connect to remote server"). At this point I'm still able to check email through Windows Mail and still use AIM though, so I have internet, but I cannot browse.

Finally, after some more time, I will lose my connection to the network, and my computer will not be able to even detect any wireless networks.

Then, I restart my computer and I'm fine for a couple more hours.

I know this seems sort of an odd set of symptoms, but any advice? Let me know if you need more specific information.

My onboard wifi is N I think... I believe the router is the same. It's not actually -my- router; it's my roommates, so I don't know the details. If you think this is related to my router, I can get more info, but my other roommates don't have this problem, which leads me to think that it's a problem with my laptop. And no, I'm not running on battery.

well wireless N doesn't give us a a lot of info

you need to tell us the model of the WIFI unit in your Laptop

perhaps screen shots device manager.... with the wifi model and it's relavent settings inside would be more helpful
