    Connection problems (not wireless)

    For the past month or so my internet's been disconnecting randomly, sometimes for long periods of time. I have high speed cable and my computer's hooked directly to the modem. I've only had my modem for a year, so I don't see why there would be anything wrong with it. Suggestions?

    How does it disconnect, does it freezes and then comes back? Or, internet is gone completely and you need to re-boot the computer?
