Hi, I just bought a new T400 Thinkpad and am having a few problems.

    1. I can't connect to my wireless network with Access Connections (Lenovo's version of Windows Wireless Network Connection) I can with Microsoft's wireless Network Connection but not with Lenovo's. It used to let me connect and now I can't. I reinstalled the software but that didn't help. It doesn't even try to connect--almost immediately it says "Connection Failed". I could be because I disabled a few services but I did that on my last computer (T42) and I could still use the software. It's fine using Window's version but I like to use some of the advanced features on Lenovo's. BTW I use Windows XP.

I have some other questions but they don't fit in this category so I will post them somewhere else but feel free to answer them when you find them.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

EDIT: I was confusing Peer to Peer and Wireless. When I tried to connect directly with my T42 it didn't even try to connect but when I try to connect to my wireless network it says no networks found. But Window's version finds several.

    Thanks again

Well, since you disabled some services, but don't know for sure that they weren't wireless-related, try re-enabling those services to see if any one has an effect.

But there are so many... :D Oh well I guess maybe I should try. The funny thing is, is that I reinstalled the program and by doing that it should restart the services. I don't know. And the other wireless software works.

It won't restart a service that it depends on, but that it doesn't own. It's quite possible that you shut off a service that is owned by another process altogether but that the app in question depends on to run properly.
