    Help!!!

I have three pcs (2 desktop , one laptop-(dimension 8600- recent purchase) I have a wired network for the two pcs-connecting to the cable modem. I just bought the laptop and I want to be able to connect to the internet- w/o wires. Yje modem and wired router are located in my basement, one desktop is one the first floor and one on the second floor - each floor has an ethernet connection. O was told that I could connect the linksys wireless router into the ethernet connection and then connect one of the desktops into one of the ports on the router. I followed the installation directions - I get an excellent signal on the laptop but when I try to go on the internet - I can't- the desktop connected to the wireless router doesnt connect to the internet either. PLEAS EELP!!!h

Did you setup the wireless router? You have tou setup all the internet options (PPPoE needs account & passowrd info), including all the wireless options. SSID's, encryption, etc... If you didn't set any of this up, it's not going to work.

Best place to go to get instructions on how to setup your Linksys router, is to goto the Linksys site. They have all the required info there.

Thank you for your reply VB

I tried to install again and this time the wireless router worked for two minutes. I was able to get on the internet with the laptop and the desktops - after a couple of minutes the connection stopped working. I didn't configure the router or the pcs becasue it worked initially- so I am still stumped.

Also I could never get onto to AOL. I
