I can connect both wired and wireless to my home network, but it will not let me connect to the internet.

    WRT64G Linksys router.

I have downloaded the helper from their support, but I still can't get an internet connection.

I'm using comcast dsl for an isp. I can conntect my laptop to their all-in-one modem, phone,tv box and access the internet, but not through the router.

    I'm stumped, thanks in advance!

So while the computer is connected via the router...whether wired or wirelessly the network status states it's connected! Is this what you're saying?

If this is the case and there is no Internet; the first thing I would check is DNS. Do this, go to Start-->Run and type cmd and hit enter. Then type ipconfig /all hit enter and post the info. here. If you are using .Vista, go to Start-->All Programs-->Accessories and right click on Command Prompt and choose Run As Admin. then do the ipconfg /all and post the results.

Maybe the router needs resetting! Seeing that it works fine via the modem directly.

Comcast uses MAC Filtering. Your WRT is not registered with them. You either need to clone the MAC address of the AIO router into the wrt but will kill some of the services required for phone. I would connect your WRT in to the AIO router. You can do it in several ways. Depending upon your needs. If you just need to expand the wired side you can set it up as a switch. If you want a more secure network connect the WRT WAN/ISP port into a LAN port on the AIO router. You may need to change the subnet on the WRT so it's not the same as the AIO router. Or have the DHCP range different between the too.

Give me more info on why and or how you want to setup your network, and I will give you the finer details.

Clone the MAC is the fastest way.

Cloning the mac will work but he mat need to do not routers (swap), since you can not have to devices with the same mac address on the same network. If you do not use the VOD connecting the Actiontec router to the Linksys will work, my setup. You can look through the actiontec router and you will find several services that use the full udp port range. This is good for killing some services where these over lap. In my case it killed my VPN, so my VPN took presidence and did not setup my Netgear router to pass the ports through. It also helps to put the actiontec in a DMZ, but will kill a lot of things in the wrt.

Sneaksz, please tell us what you are trying to accomplish. Wireless is doable with no issues. I use the actiontec on one end of the house and my buffalo on the other end. I then setup my son to connect to the actiontec. This isolates his traffic from mine.
