Hi, I have done this before on a computer, but it would be much simpler if I could do it with just a router. It doesn't sound like it would be too big of a deal to get a router to do it. But just what kind of router would I need to buy, and what would I need to do to get something like this working?

I do not know about the proxy. But I connect to my router which makes every thing on my network appear as I was there. I use a Netgear FVS338 VPN End point router. The FVS318 is the low end which does not have a lot of cpu power for encryption. The FVS338 and FVS538 are now probably old models know since I have owned mine for 10+yrs. There are several newer models out of these routers w/GigE Lan Ports. I have not looked at VPN in several years. None of these have WAP, wired only. These are SMB routers and take a pounding and keep on trucking.

I hope this points you in the right direction.
