I have verizon dsl and the package I ordered was 3mbps/768kbps and when I go to my router "home page" (192.168.1.1) it says: Speed (Down/Up): 3354 Kbits/sec by 861 Kbits/sec and when I did a test on speakeasy at a Nyc server [from vt] I got 2815mbps/622kbps and so I'm wondering If they gave me faster then what I bought (I thought this was the fastest dsl I could get) it seems like a 3mbps/600kbps from downloads and uploads but Im not sure or are all the speed results I'm getting are for different things or what?! Im a little confused

O btw...what is the "fastest" dsl speed you can get, and im not meaning real-world results but as far as buying it from a company

Your speed is not an exact number. The speed in the modem/router maybe higher since its tested by your isp probably on one of thier servers. the other results are from servers from outside the network where your isp cant control latency. Both are good for a 3Mb line
