When I was in Turkey I had to use dial-up because Turktelecom does not offer 1 month highspeed internet contracts, so I had to resort to dial-up. Back in Canada now, and I use Wifi anyway, but the Computer once in awhile keeps on trying to connect to dial-up. How can I stop it?

go to Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center>Manage Network Connections and there u will see your Dial up connection. Delete it. the computer wont try to use it then. If u dont wanna delete it then u can remove it as default connection. Right Click on your wireless connection and select "set as default"

    hope this helps
