Just looking for a couple pointers towards a decent guide on setting up a strong wireless N network in my apartment. I'm fairly computer savvy but I've never actually set up my own network until I went out and bought a netgear 150mps wireless N router for my cable modem. I did the most basic tasks to set it up, and my Dell M1530 connects fine with the network thanks to its wireless N card, but it seems like I'm just not getting the range I should be getting. I can browse websites in my room just fine, but playing online games results in more stuttering and disconnects than I'd like despite only being about 30 ft away from the router, which is in my living room. We don't have lead lined walls or anything like that, in fact the signal only travels through a single wall to get to my desk in my bedroom. Doing some quick reading here made me realize how little of the technical details of setting up a network I actually know, so I figured given the proper guide I could optimize my network and get a much stronger connection anywhere in my apartment. Any suggestions?

On my SMC router I have the option to increase signal power/range so I would imagine your flashy new N router would have the same option
