I'm thinking about switching to Comcast Xfinity Internet service. Currently I have Dish DSL.

I don't want to rent their modem, so I was looking for input on which modem I should buy that will work with their 20 meg service

    Thanks

I have Comcast's 20 Mb service and use the Motorola Surfboard SB6121.

    Motorola SURFboard® SB6121 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem | Staples®

It's $90 right now, but you can purchase a coupon for $2 from here good for $25 off $75, which should bring the price down to $65. The site looks lousy but they are legit. Just make sure you place the order online or over the phone, as the coupon won't work in store. You could have the modem shipped to a store for free if you have a Staples near you.
