Just curious how many here actually use what is provided by their ISP?

Me I use a SB6121 Motorola modem with a Linksys N600 router. Have to say it's a huge improvement over the Arris provided by Comcast. I've done the same, whether I was with Verizon or in Canada. But I know all my relatives and gf's relatives use what their ISP provided, and then complain all the time about performance, drop outs, etc, but never do anything about it.

Yours and your family's experience? Just curious.

Different ISP provider, same issues, just use my own routers usually. Have good performance with the apple airport express/base stations, they have been ok.

Performance issues with the ISP ones, most I have seen have the wifi channel set to a certain number causing interference.
