Evaluating getting some Meraki APs to replace our current ones - we've never been happy with the performance of the various solutions we've tried.

It sounds like we'll be able to convince Cisco to give us an AP to test for a month or so before deciding to buy it or return it - right now I'm leaning toward the MR26.

Anyone with any thoughts/opinions/experiences with this product family?

Ive only got good experience with Meraki. We have Meraki router with Cisco switches and Meraki AP´s at work, configurate Meraki is easy, you have a very detailed layout of all the AP´s.

How do you feel about the licensing? According to what I've read, the hardware keeps working if unlicensed, but you're unable to make any configuration changes.

Im working for a larger corporation so licensing isnt an issue. We have 70 buildings and they all have Meraki hardware that covers each building with wifi. There is one commandcenter monitoring all the buildings down to device level. Every building have their own vlan and that configuration is the same in all of them. Its very easy to use. Thats my experience.

Works well, super stable, can be kept indoors or outdoors, PoE powered, can handle many SSIDs.

Cisco Cloud makes everything so easy.
