Has anyone here got a CISCO qualification and I was wondering wether it's worth the £3,000 in which is costs to do per year?

I am going to be doing it next year and really need to know what to expect.

    Thank You!

Do you mean like your CCNA, CCNP?. If so, here its about $200 to write your CCNA and it lasts acouple years. It would be a lot easier getting a job with it.

There are a bunch of Cisco certifications you can write, but they depend on what you are planning on doind in the IT field, and what level you would like to get. There are three levels in Cisco certification: Associate, Professional, and Expert is the top. The CCNA cert will cover most Cisco-oriented jobs, such as Routing and Switching, Design, etc. Once into the professional level of the jobs, each job has a specific certification for it. The same is true for the Expert level. All professional level certifications require CCNA before they can be written, and require three or four different exams. The expert level requires a written exam AND a lab exam.

It all basically depends on what you want to do, and how much you want to get paid. You can get additional information from Cisco's certification page here http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/learning_career_certifications_and_learning_paths_home.html
