I wish to use Chromecast on the TV in the common lounge area. However it is a public WiFi network and I cannot access the router to turn off client isolation. I was thinking to get a cheap router and create a private network but there is no Ethernet connection in the common area only WiFi. So, can I use a wireless bridge to connect to the WiFi and share it with connected devices?
Found this neat little device on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-Systems-SharePort-Companion-DIR-505L/dp/B009LENJ90/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top But would it override the client isolation mode of the parent internet connection?

in theory you could get it to work if you've set the bridge up. and connect it to your router.
but isnt that cumbersome for a lounge area?
maybe asking the manager to give you access to the router would be better. -
I wouldn't want to allow p2p just for the exception of little ol' me. Regardless, the travel router I got from Amazon is pretty simple to set up, plugged into a wall outlet and presto, no cable connection needed.

I'm not sure about Client Isolation.
I suppose if you have any issues, ensure the MAC address on your travel router matches that of your computer wifi card.
