This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Cheap easy dial-up wifi advice

    My parents live in a rural area with no broadband – only dial-up. I bought them a laptop and I’d like them to at least access their email wirelessly anywhere in the house. The only product I’ve found for wireless dial-up is a product called WiFlyer: http://www.wiflyer.com/StoreFront.bok

    $100 seems kinda steep for this type of thing…can anyone advise a cheap easy way for wireless dial-up?
