    Changing wireless to wired internet

    I got a router that has 4 LAN ethernet plugins. 1 of them is plug with a ethernet cable to my phone adaptar. I got some moore ethernet cables, so how can I make my wireless internet into wired. I know that I need to plug a ethernet cable into my laptop, but how. Details plz, I'm new at this. TY :)

    You did not mention what computer you have. But it should have a eithernet port on it. All you need to do is plug it into the router using a std Cat5e or better cable. The router should recognize the connection and pull IP, GateWay and DNS server from the router. You may be prompted by your firewall software. If so you will need to allow this connection in order for it to work.

    Find the hole in your laptop that the ethernet cable fits into, and plug it in. That simple.

    In my experience wired always takes priority over wireless without manual intervention.

    Also for those who need the range and flexibility of wireless but the speed and stability of wired these are neat products.

    Kind of expensive though but better than running a wire through the middle of your house.
