    Hi,
I work for a company in Bridgeport, Tx., about 70 mi west of Dallas.
We use Cingular cards in all our laptops in the field. Service/coverage is generally good, but slow where we are. Only doubles dial-up speed! About 108 kb down. If, however we are close enough to the city (DFW), we get close to DSL speeds. About 512kb down.
Also, the newer cards have an integrated antenna, where the older cards have a small external antenna. If you can find an older one, you will get slightly better signal. The better your signal, the better your speeds will be.

    Hope this helps! :)

Sprint Rev A is easily your best bet. 3.1Mbps Down and 1.8Mbps Upload speeds blow away all the other services. They plan to have their entire network covered with Rev A by the end of 07. Your Market, Dallas, should be getting Rev A early in 07, but you can get the correct card now, and be set when the network upgrades. More speed, more coverage and even a free Rev A card...
