Is it possible to use your cell phone as an internet connection for a laptop. Cell phone being: Sony Ericsson z520a( Cingular) and a laptop which has bluetooth? Thank-you!

Yes, you can use your cell phone as an internet connection. You must have a data plan, which can be very expensive. You will also need a software interface between the phone and your laptop, like Phone Tools or whatever comes/works with the Ericsson. I don't know the particulars on your phone; contact your mobile phone provider for instructions on how to interface the phone and laptop.

Simply set up a bluetooth connection to your phone from your PC selecting Dial Up Networking or Network Access Point in the services list. For Dial Up Networking, you must have the phone number which your ISP has supplied for you to dial when connecting.

It will cost you a lot of money. Like I said, you need a data plan. Contact Cingular for rates.

If you use Dial Up, you will be charged for every minute you used by the same amount as making a normal phone call (however, extra charges might be involved).
For Network Access Point, you will be charged for every byte you send/receive. Tariffs vary between mobile suppliers.

Budding: That's not how it works for Cingular. If you make a data call, you are charged per KB or MB of data transferred. It is expensive. The last I checked, an unlimited data plan, per month, is nearly $80 per phone.

using your cel phone as a modem is slow and unreliable. slower than dialup. if you just want to grab an email or check mapquest, it's ok, but don't rely on it for your main internet connection.
