    I was wondering if there is a major difference between Cat5e and Category 6e cables. Does it matter if the plugs are gold-plaited? I'm just wondering if these factors would affect the dsl speeds. Thanks!

    no worries because your dsl speed is going to be way way slower than your NIC/router/cable speed
