    Cant get wireless internet to connect

    I am frustrated right now because I rebooted my asus G1 finally today after 2 months of not rebooting and since then I cant connect to the internet wirelessly, when my pc right next to it is connect with no problem I tried disabling everything that has to do with wireless from the windows program to the Intel Pro program that it came with and nothing even deleting the linksys program....help I am in dire need of assistance. thank you

    i don't know if you've tried this. unplug your modem, router, and shut off your computer. wait a minute. turn on modem. wait again. turn on router. wait again. then cold bood your laptop. if you have dhcp enabled this may help! maybe you've already tried this, but i can't offer better advice unless i know more about the problem.

    well, for me it's because of comcast. the cable modem needs to be able to upload to keep working correctly. when the signal to noise ratio gets too great (usually when lots of people are online or just intermittent comcast problems) the modem 'gets stoned' and forgets who it was talking to/about. rebooting everything will force the hardware to reconnect, hopefully fixing the problem. glad to help. i have seen this a lot. comcast doesn't have the best network here...
