I just recieved a cyberpower 9520 laptop....i pulled it out of the box and tried to connect to the internet. It can't find my router i have set up. First it says that i need to turn on the wireless capability, which i have done, because i read up on that as well and its just an easy button and the light comes on, so thats done, but it doesnt say it is....idk if that is the real problem but my router works bc im on this desktop wirelessly, and the router is wired into another desktop i have..thanks

Does your router broadcast the SSID? Do you have WPA/WPA2 wireless security enabled? Have you configured your laptop wireless connection correctly? What operating system is on the laptop? What router do you have?

is ur router acting as dhcp or u have to manually assign ips....??
and SSID (service set identifier) is broadcasting of name....
if its vista uncheck ipv6....that shud help as well
and also go through the router settings....

Now select the advanced tab, this is what you should see; and tell me what do you see in value for each one of those fields.

The throughput enhacement: turn it enable.

In the driver tab, what driver version do you have? My version is 11.5.1.15, date: 3/13/2008. If is an older driver select update driver.
