My boss wants me to buy a Camera to set up around high pressure tests outside the building and have it feed back to his office inside. He wants high quality video(not like a webcam feed.) I, on the other hand, dont know where to start. I heard you can somehow do this through the office network or maybe even wirelessly?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you,

    Mika

yes for digital imaging without pixelation...your looking at around the $10,000 or more price range...top quality survellance equipment isn't cheap...

I would save money maybe by building it myself :
good camera attached to a computer that record/streams the video.
just an idea and alot of head-ache , but would cost you less then half probably

i based my estimation from a presentation for our Park District...i'm the president of the board of commissioners...we had a firm come in last year for a price and feasability study...the particular camera we looked at was an 8 lensed survellance camera to control lets say unsupervised pool parties at night...the detail of the camera was awesome...pictures of a over-the-road trailer from quite a distance...over 100 meters...when zoomed could read the most minute details on the license plate...no pixelation what-so-ever...when you say high pressure test...are you talking about pressurized burst testing...and wanting to capture the precise moment of container failure...which would be most likely be based on micro second timing...if so...that would require extremely high speed capable camera's
