I just want something reliable that will have no problems and connect at good range.

You might want to try reposting on the Dell forum thread. They might be able to help you there. Personally I would think the Intel PRO would be able to sniff out signals better, but that's my own opinion.

my amateur two cents worth - I've had my E1505 for 3 months and the Dell 1390 mini card worked flawlessly right out of the box - all i had to do was enter my router security code when prompted.
I've had two company laptops with Intel 2200 card that NEVER EVER worked with our router. We tried everything - could NOT get it to work with an HP 8230 or a Thinkpad T42. The Thinkpad works flawlessly with the company-paid Verizon PCIMIA broadband card. Alas, that card does NOT fit in the E1505 Express card slot. Oh well.
I know the INtel 3945 may be much better than the Intell 2200, but the Dell 1390 (made by Broadcom) works completely flawlessly with our Westel Versalink router. I have not traveled yet with my E1505 so I don't know how well it works outside our house.
Can you help me pick which wireless card to get
