I have upgraded the firmware on a D-Link DIR 635 router and i think its possibly giving me a lot of problems, i downloaded it via the D-Link site and its the exact one for my router which is revision B1.

Since this firmware has gone in ive had a lot of internet probelsm with hanging pages and varioius other problems, it may not be this thats at fault but if i can put my old firmware in i will know for certain.

The old firmware i am after is 2.20EU for a UK model as 2.21EU is in at the min which was the upgrade, i rang D-Link and all i got was a frustrating Indian fella that i couldn`t understand and he didn`t have a clue, it was like Fonejacker and internet providings all over again :D

You should be able to visit the D-Link website and download previous versions. The US site lists 1.04 to 1.09, so I would guess the EU website would do the same.

From what i have seen you can`t unless its hidden in a place where you would need Columbo to find it, i think they just have the latest upgrades from what ive seen. I tried to email them on the automated email on the site, it crashed and said "HTTP Status 404 - Content Server could not process the request"

I did a quick ftp search (from D-Link UK) and didn't see much in the dir-635 directory. I suggest contacting D-Link for assistance with previous firmware versions.

This is a similar experience i just had with D-Link on the phone, it was like talking to a brick wall. Everywhere seems to be indian call centres these days. And yes you guessed it, i got off the phone without the firmware i needed.

Send them an email instead. Or better yet, go to forums.dlink.com, register, and then ask for help. It's the US forum, but you'll probably get the help you need.
