How the heck did you get that? Are you hard wired to the modem?

Do pages explode on the screen?

easy :D hes in South Korea, his ISP is the giveaway. SK, most of asia and 2/3 of europe are a crapload faster than North America for internet speed. no lousy 25 or 50 Mbps for lots of the world nowadays

Yep, and it's fiber, as nothing else available to consumers has a ping that low.

fiber to the premises means nothing if your national, international, and peering links are crap.

this is the problem with speedtest.net. all it really tests is your local/regional domain.

I can't even imagine that speed.

Is there zero lag when pressing a link? Do all images just immediately appear on the screen?

Most of the internet doesn't move that quick. That connection is bottlenecked because it's faster than most other parts of the internet can dish out information.

I would have thought at that point you would be more bottlenecked by how fast your CPU can render the pages.

Depends on the website's host, most are slower than those connections and your computer.

You could get a really fast speed if you ping yourself...
Pretty sure many people do that.

And how would you obtain a result with the image hosted on a speedtest server and showing your ISP distance to the server and speed of the server if you had tested latency on your own router?

Are you implying something? The image with OP's results is hosted on speedtest.net server which makes it legit.

Why? It's neither of our faults that we live in areas with appalling internet. Be glad you don't live somewhere like Tanzania, or Nigeria, with no internet.

What I'm saying is that in the absence of other tests for bandwidth and latency, performed multiple times over a long period of time, a simple speed test like speedtest.net isn't worth the pixels used to display the result.
