Something like the D-Link DFL-160 UTM Firewall

    or

Something like the D-Link DFL-260 UTM Firewall

The reason these 2 D-Link products are a put off is because they offer 1 year subscription service for their UTM firewall features

And re-newing these subscriptions costs quite a bit ... so its a put off ...

    :(

If you have an old pc that your not using you can make your own use the IPCop http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/ipcop/wiki

Most SMB routers have a pretty decent security section that you can define your own rules. I'm using a Netgear FVS338 VPN router that I have my own rules set. With these more robust routers you have full control of what ports you want open for incoming. NAT function of most routers are pretty good when it comes to blocking incoming traffic. The only way to handle outgoing is with software firewalls. Even though you can block outgoing with a router based on ports and IP's. I have full sub nets blocked from china. I had some hackers trying to gain access to my FTP server. My server sent me an alert to my SNMP server, it sent me an email alerting me of the problem.
