    Can i upgrade my L500 with a Intel N6300?

    Does my laptop (Toshiba L500-13W) support this card?
    I dont know too much about my main board, help me if you can.

    By the looks of it this notebook has a full height mini-PCI-ex slot (although photos on the net are not the best quality-wise) and I don't recall Toshiba whitelisting its own cards so technically it is possible.
    There are two things though- one Intel 6300 uses three antennas and you don't have three antennas in your laptop. If you settle for two out of three- why don't you buy Intel 6200 in the first place?
    That's unless you want to run a third antenna somewhere inside the notebook and have a 450mbps router in the pipeline- otherwise 6300 is no better than 6200.

    Another thing- L500 has only two service hatches for HDD and RAM. You have to disassemble the notebook to replace a Wi-Fi card (I don't know to what extent though).
    Mini-PCI-ex is located in the upper right corner of the mobo (on top of the motherboard- under the numerical block of the keyboard)- maybe it can be accessed by removing keyboard.
