    I use outlook with sms plugin, works a treat.
    There is ton's of other options as well.
    What's your mobile?

    its not my phone really, i just want to be able to genrally send txt messages from my laptop to my mates phones when their bluetooth is on

    whats the plugin your using

    So you want so send SMS to your friends phone when it is in the vicinity? Don't really know how to do that.

    I use the Outlook SMS plugin to send sms from my phone VIA bluetooth so I don't have to type on the phone itself.

    i dont dont think thats what im looking for, say you were sitting in an office, and wanted to send a message from your laptop to someones phone, who had their bluetooth on, I need a free solution, and i think if the phone in question had a IM service running, it would charge them.

    I don't think that that is very possible to send sms.... but for certain phones you can send memos, which is basically just a .txt text message.. basically you just connect the phone to your laptop, and send that device a .txt text.
