    Yes and no, you can hook up a card reader to a 54GL with alot of hardware modifications. for media sharing .. I just use a NAS

    to put on a third party firmware to add extra functionality to your router take a LONG read over at Main Page - DD-WRT Wiki

    all the information you could ever dream of for your router and modding it.

    No it cannot. Apart from all the trouble the developers would have to go through to make it run like it should Asus WL500G Premium has twice the RAM and twice the flash of WRT54GL so it has enough place to hold the bigger system and enough RAM to make it run smoothly, unlike WRT54GL.
