    Hi,

I'm about to order a new notebook and among its specs I found the following:

    56.6k V.92 Capable Internal Modem & Adapter - UK

I live in Hungary and travel quite a lot in Europe, so my question would be: does this mean that the modem is not compatible somehow with networks out of the UK, or can I use it elsewhere (everywhere) without problems?

Okay, it might be a silly question, but I'm not an expert, so I really don't know.

    Thanks a lot.

Yup. My US modem worked great for the 3 years I was stationed in the UK. You'll just need to make sure you got the correct connector to use on US phone jacks.
