I'm supposed to get DSL tomorrow but I just realized that my apartment doesn't have a phone jack, there's only one coaxial cable (I think that's the name). Can I get DSL without a phone jack? Is there a way I can adapt or use that coaxial cable for DSL. My only one choice is Comcast which sucks.

The answer to your question is No. However, if you've applied for DSL and have been scheduled for an installation day, then the ISP/Phone company must be able to service your location with its High-Speed internet. The technician, if any, that shows up will probably terminate a new phone line from the main telecom box at the demarcation point and might charge you extra for adding a jack in your apartment.
